Publication of Proposal Notice for the inclusion of Sandgate Esplanade and North Close into the Shepway lorry parking ban Order

(Prohibition of LGV Overnight Parking) (AMENDMENT 1) Order 2016
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL intend to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 122 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The Order proposes the inclusion of the following roads or sections of the roads into the prohibition of LGV overnight parking Order 2015.
Canterbury Road, Selsted
West side - lay-by between Crosswinds and Eastcote.
Stone Street, Stanford North
The Lodge, end turning circle past the Drum Public Inn.
Enterprise Way, Lympne
Both sides for its entire length.
Hurricane Way, Hawkinge
Both sides for its entire length.
Aerodrome Road, Hawkinge
Both sides for its entire length.
Sandgate Esplanade, Sandgate
South side, for its entire length.
North Close, Folkestone
Shorncliffe Industrial Estate.
The proposed restriction will prohibit waiting (but not loading) by any large goods vehicle, overnight and weekends.
Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with the relevant drawings, a copy of any orders which will be amended by the proposed Order, and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at The Council Offices, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone.
