Ruff Justice
In amongst the works at the Lower Leas Coastal Park tthis week, a large number of new signs have been put up, some moved, some recycled and some new.
In this process, a couple of signs that said that Dogs were not allowed in the Park ended up on display.
This issue was spotted by a few eagle eyed residents who reported to me.
I've now checked with the Council and can confirm: it was a mistake. We're sorry! There is no change in the rules governing dogs in the park at all, and they remain welcome. Those signs should now have been edited removing the incorrect message (but let me know if any have been missed).
Dogs are welcome throughout the Lower Leas Coastal Park. It is asked that they are kept on leads in the "Fun Zone" (the bit with the big play structures with tube slides, towers, net tunnels, aerial slides, Bounty shipwreck, amphitheatre and more) but outside that area there is no requirement for them to be on a lead.
Hope that clarifies things, and you enjoy your walkies!
