Safer streets in Hythe

21 Oct 2003

Hythe Lib Dems are delighted that two new CCTV cameras are to be installed in their town.

Crime on Hythe's streets hit the headlines after a vicious attack in the High Street left one person dead, shortly after a serious mugging that hit the local news.

Cllr Alan Farmer said "Making our streets safer is a top priority. I'm delighted that we've not just delivered on the promises we made to restore cuts to the District Council's CCTV budget, but now we're going even further and getting new cameras on the streets."
