SALT - Sea and the Environment Festival is coming to Folkestone 21 - 24 October!
This October sees the launch SALT, a new festival for Folkestone celebrating the sea and the environment!
Co-curated by Folkestone Quarterhouse, Folkestone Fringe and Karen Shepherdson of Canterbury Christ Church University and over four days from 21 - 24 October, SALT presents a series talks, walks, workshops, food happenings, installations, theatre shows, exhibitions and more that explore the unique coastal environment of this region, the communities it sustains and what the future might hold.
SALT is for everybody, experts and amateurs, campaigners and sceptics with events for all ages. Taking place across Folkestone, including Folkestone Quarterhouse, the Harbour Arm, Folkestone Library, The Brewery Tap, Sunflower House, Lindon Studio and of course our beautiful coastline. These locations not only act as venues but also bring together the different communities and varying environments that are at the core of Folkestone's coastal heritage.
