Some events for your December diary:

Tuesday 8th, 7pm: Sandgate Parish Council meeting, followed by annual Christmas drinks. Residents and businesses in Sandgate would be most welcome to join us.

12th to 24th: Dick Whittington at The Tower Theatre. Canadian singing sensation Andy Laine joins Bucks Fizz superstar Mike Nolan and the star of last year's pantomime John Pritchard for this year's pantomime: Dick Whittington. Same as last year, the FHODS annual pantomime will be a mix of professional and amateur talent. The opening date is the 12th December and, with the exception of a couple of dates, will run twice daily up to the 24th December. Saturday 19th, 10am to 12 noon: Children's Craft Club at Sandgate Library. Free event for all nursery and primary-aged children and their parents! Hot and cold drinks for everyone!

Saturday 19th at Chichester Hall, Sandgate: two seasonal films - Winnie The Pooh - A Very Merry Pooh Year (U), an A.A. Milne animation for children and parents at 3pm. Then at 7.15pm, Miracle on 34th Street (U), originally made in 1947 as a black and white film, now to be shown in colour (stars a very young Natalie Wood). Both films will be shown on a giant screen. Tickets: Winnie the Pooh - £4; evening film - adults: £6, children £4 (raising funds for repairs at the Chichester Hall).
