Sandgate County Councillor Tim Prater commented:

"I'm really pleased that the Sandgate Farmers Market is getting off the ground, and I look forward to seeing the new people and services it'll bring to Sandgate. I was pleased to support the launch of the Farmers Market with a small grant, and hope that local people will support it.

"The market will benefit local residents keen to shop locally and buy quality local produce, and also hopeful raise much needed funds for the Chichester Hall which has an extensive (and expensive!) programme of renovation and decoration planned."
