Sandgate Road closed: signs and barriers

Harvey Central Councillor Gary Fuller has expressed support for the strengthening of the barrier across Sandgate Road last week. The barrier, which was being routinely ignored is now much more difficult to move and is truly performing its role.

The barrier was put in place again a few weeks ago and the road reclosed between Earls Avenue & Castle Hill Avenue and Gary has been trying to find out why this is the case.

Commenting, Lib Dem Campaigner Gary said:

"This barrier is here for a reason and it has been routinely ignored. Shepway Liberal Democrats raised concerns late last year that the road might collapse if not repaired and a Sandgate Road resident has recently told me that a section collapsed a few weeks back. It is time for Sandgate Road to be fixed!"
