Sanger: Getting Action for Harbour
Emily Sanger, the Liberal Democrat candidate for this Thursday's Harbour ward Town Council By-election, has been pushing local issues onto the Council's agenda to get real action for Harbour. Emily is a hard working local campaigner who has lived in Folkestone all her life and is a Governor at a local school.
Local issues that Emily and local councillor Tessa Caruana are currently working to get action on include:
- Martello Road - Getting an overgrown tree cut down, a blocked drain and a missing name plate
- Morrison Road - Removal of unnecessary yellow lines to allow more parking spaces
- Lennard Court - Finding out for residents about new planned works
- Tontine Street area - Problems with noise and land behind Jolsons needs tidying
- Thanet Gardens - General tidying up including the gardens
- Neason Court - General maintenance on block and gardens
- Wear Bay Road / Crescent - Action to tidy memorial gardens
- Segrave Road - Fixing a pot hole
- East Cliff - Tackling parking issues and a problem with an abandoned car
- Stade Street, East Street, Radnor Street and The Durlocks - campaigning to move pedestrian crossing on Tram Road to above the junction with Radnor Street

"It would be a real honour to stand up for Harbour residents on the Town Council. I pledge to work hard to get the best deal for local residents of all ages from the Council."
