Emily Sanger is campaigning with the Liberal Democrats for good services for local residents

Local campaigner Emily Sanger has been nominated as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Folkestone Town Council by-election in Harbour ward. The election will be held on June 9th following the resignation of the sitting councillor.

Emily lives locally and is an experienced local campaigner. Emily has a strong reputation of campaigning on local issues, and is committed to speaking to residents across the area in the next few weeks to discuss her plans and ideas for ideas for improving Folkestone.

Labour have failed to stand a candidate in this election, after disastrous disastrous performance in the General Election in Folkestone and Hythe where they saw their vote crushed to under 13%, one of their poorest results in Kent.

If you are a Harbour ward resident and would like a postal vote for this and / or subsequent elections, you can apply for a postal vote by downloading, completing and returning the form at http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/HowtoVote/VotebyPost.cfm/?officeID=355
