Local Lib Dem Councillors Julie White, Shirley Maile and Terry Preston are campaigning to protect Dymchurch beach.

Lib Dem Councillors Terry Preston, Julie White and Shirley Maile are fighting to save the beaches in Dymchurch.

The Environment Agency has recently commissioned a study to work out how best to improve Marsh sea defences. One of the proposed options would be to feed shingle onto the beaches.

Councillor Terry Preston said, "We are delighted that the study is being undertaken as sea defences are vital for the safety of Marsh residents. However, we will resist any proposal that threatens our sandy beaches. These beaches attract many tourists who are vital for our local economy."
