Lib Dem campaigners Gill Jenkins, Peter Carroll and Janet Andrews are campaigning to save local Post Offices

Lib Dem campaigners Gill Jenkins and Janet Andrews are urging people to use their local Post Offices.

Government moves to get all benefits and pensions paid direct into bank accounts could mean the closure of many Post Offices in our area. Local people will soon receive a letter informing them of changes to payments.

Janet Andrews said, "Many people rely on their local Post Office. To continue receiving benefits or pensions in cash from your Post Office, you must ring the freephone number included in the letter and ask for a Post Office Account Card."

If anyone is unsure about what to do they should ask the local Post Master who will help.
