Linda Cufley and Peter Carroll are fighting to save local Post Offices

Post Offices in Sandgate and Horn Street are the latest to face closure in our area. Hundreds of local people will be affected by the closures.

Lib Dem campaigner Peter Carroll said, "This makes three proposed closures in just three months in Shepway. It seems that the Labour Government and the Post Office are determined to see the decimation of the Post Office network."

Local Lib Dems are leading the fight to save both Post Offices and are collecting a petition of residents opposed to closure. There has already been a huge response to the petition in the Sandgate area and a similar response is expected in Cheriton for the Horn Street Post Office.

Councillor Linda Cufley said, "Both Post Offices in Sandgate and Horn Street provide an essential service to many in our community. Many residents, particular the elderly may find it very difficult to get to another Post Office. The Post Office should think again about these closures."

If you support the Lib Dem campaign to save our Post Offices, please sign our petition.
