Shepway Community Chest 2011/12

Shepway District Council have launched this years Shepway Community Chest application form and guidance, as well as an advice sheet relating to other sources of funding and funding advice.

The Community Chest helps local groups to run projects with lasting benefits. It is open to not-for-profit groups including registered charities, community sports clubs and other similarly constituted groups based in and working for Shepway residents.

Key points:

  • As with previous years, grants will be limited to a maximum of £5,000.
  • One large grant of up to £50,000 is available this year.
  • Grants will be offered for items of equipment, building works etc. but not for running costs.
  • The closing date for application is 3rd January 2012.
  • It is anticipated that the final decisions will be made by the end of March 2012.
