31 Aug 2006
Door after break-in / burglary / crime

The Lib Dem office in Sandgate High Street was broken in to over the Bank Holiday weekend. The main entrance door of the offices had two of its glass panes smashed in and the door had been opened, but the intruder then appears to have left empty-handed.

The break-in was discovered on Tuesday morning by Shepway Lib Dem Treasurer Darren Briddock as he arrived at the office. The police were called and attended quickly, speaking to neighbours and sending a forensic team to check the area.
