The Shepway Liberal Democrats are leading the campaign for citizenship for Gurkhas online according to leading search engine Google.

A search for "Gurkha Campaign" on the world's most used search engine reveals over 5,000 results returned for the phrase, with the first three referring to the campaign by Peter Carroll and the Shepway Liberal Democrats.

With many of the UK based Gurkhas stationed within Folkestone and Hythe constituency at Shorncliffe barracks, Peter Carroll as Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesman for the area has taken up the cause after being approached by local ex-Gurkhas.

In a recent telephone poll on the subject by the Daily Express, over 99% of the respondents backed the Gurkhas case.
