Southeastern August Timetable Change
Southeastern are introducing a new timetable from Sunday 28 August, which includes some significant changes for travellers from FolkestoneCentral, Folkestone West, Sandling and Westernhanger on non HS1 services into London.
The changes include:
- Cannon Street services will no longer stop at London Bridge after Friday 26 August.
- From Bank Holiday Monday, 29 August, most Charing Cross services resume stopping at London Bridge. Until the new platform 6 opens in August 2017, some morning and evening peak services are unable to call at London Bridge.
- Trains FROM Charing Cross and Waterloo East will NOT stop at London Bridge on Mondays to Fridays between 08:04 and 09:17.
- Trains TO Waterloo East and Charing Cross will NOT stop at London Bridge on Mondays to Fridays between 16:37 and 18:03
Trains cannot stop at London Bridge at these times because only three of the four platforms are available. At peak times two of the three platforms will be used for the most popular direction (towards Charing Cross in the morning and away from Charing Cross in the evening), allowing one train to arrive as another departs. With only one platform available in the opposite direction not all trains can stop without major impacts on the whole service.
There is more information on the new timetable and service disruption over the August Bank Holiday weekend on the Southeastern website.
