Southeastern Christmas 2016: Summary of service changes

There are changes to Southeastern train services over the holiday period as Network Rail carry out work to improve your railway.

Christmas Eve - Saturday 24 December

  • Saturday service with an early shut down. Please check the time of your last train
  • No trains at Charing Cross, Waterloo East, St Johns and New Cross
  • Hastings trains will start from London Bridge and are diverted via East Croydon
  • Other services are diverted to Victoria or Blackfriars
  • Only trains via Greenwich will run to Cannon Street
  • No trains between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge

Christmas Day - Sunday 25 December

  • No Southeastern services will run

Boxing Day - Monday 26 December

  • A half hourly high speed service will run between Gravesend and St Pancras International between 08:00 and 20:00
  • No other Southeastern services will run

Bank Holiday - Tuesday 27 December

  • Saturday level of service. Please check the time of your last train
  • No trains at Charing Cross, Waterloo East, St Johns and New Cross
  • Hastings trains will start from London Bridge and are diverted via East Croydon
  • Other services are diverted to Victoria or Blackfriars
  • Only trains via Greenwich will run to Cannon Street
  • No trains between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge

Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 December

  • Saturday level of service with additional early and peak trains

New Year's Eve - Saturday 31 December

  • Normal Saturday service with additional late night/early morning trains
  • Waterloo East station closed after 23:45
  • No Southeastern trains at Blackfriars
  • No trains after 02:45 from Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park. Some later trains can be found at Victoria but do expect them to be busy

New Year's Day - Sunday 1 January

  • Normal Sunday service
  • No trains at Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street, Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park
  • Hastings trains will start from London Bridge and are diverted via East Croydon
  • Other services are diverted to Victoria or Blackfriars
  • No trains between Hither Green and Crayford, Otford and Ashford International or between Canterbury, East/Deal and Folkestone Central

Bank Holiday - Monday 2 January

  • Sunday level of service
  • No trains at Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street, Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park
  • Hastings trains will start from London Bridge and are diverted via East Croydon
  • Other services are diverted to Victoria or Blackfriars

Tuesday 3 January

  • Normal services resume

Update

There will be changes to our services over weekends and bank holidays up until January 2018 as Network Rail rebuild London Bridge station. Always check before you travel for any engineering work.

Significant work will take place over the August 2017 bank holiday and the four working days after (26 August - 2 September) so we are asking you to keep this in mind when booking holidays. Trains will be severely impacted over this time. More information will be released here when available.
