Southeastern Christmas and New Year Services
Southeastern trains have announced details of their modified service over the holiday period. In order to allow Network Rail to carry out essential maintenance work, as always, Southeastern services will be affected over Christmas and the New Year.
- On December 24, Christmas Eve. services will run as normal until 22.00, but with some additional afternoon from Cannon Street to Ashford via Tonbridge and Faversham.
- On December 25 Christmas Day, there will be no services.
- On Boxing Day, 26 December, there will be limited return services From London Victoria to Ashford via Tonbridge, to Gillingham via Bromley South, to Slade Green via Lewisham and Charlton and Bexleyheath and Orpington via Herne Hill and Bromley South.
- On Sunday 27 December, and Monday 28 December it's a normal Sunday timetable, but some services may be affected by engineering work (see http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/index.php/engineering_work/engineering_work/view/142 for more information)
- On Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 December it's a modified Monday to Friday timetable with additional morning and evening peak services.
- On Thursday 31 December, New Year's Eve a Saturday timetable service will operate with additional services operating during the morning and evening peak periods on some routes, but please remember that London Waterloo East Station will close at 23:45.
- On Friday 1 January 2010, New Year's Day, a Sunday timetable service will operate, and on Saturday 2 January 2010, we will be running the usual Saturday timetable.
Details of additional or amended services are displayed at stations so affected and passengers are advised to check train times and availability before beginning their journey.
