More details of the Sandgate Sea and Food Festival have been announced. On Saturday evening (27th August), the Festival will kick off with the ever popular and spectacular fireworks display over the sea from Sandgate beach, powered by Nick Ciccone of Universal Fireworks.

On Sunday there will be a great day of fun for all the family, with music, dancing, tug-of-war, raft racing and 9weather permitting) a display by the Dungeness Lifeboat at noon. The Granville Parade market will have a variety of food and stalls from 11am-5pm, and "The Ship" will be holding a beer festival all weekend.

A grand draw with a top prize of a SAGA cruise for 2 and plenty of other prizes is also being held. tickets cost £1 each or £4 for five, and are on sale in shops and restaurants across Sandgate Village and the Golden Valley shopping precinct.

Art & Craft Fair in the Chichester Hall, Sandgate High Street

Also, at St Paul's Church, Sandgate on Saturday August 27th at 7.30pm there is a Gilbert & Sullivan evening. £5 on the door and light refreshments available. On Sunday 28th August at 10.30am there will be a special Service as part of the Sandgate Festival, with light refreshments served afterwairds in the Church. From noon to 4pm on Sunday there will
be a series of Organ Recitals by local organists. Cakes, tea and coffee will also be served.
