Stop the Squeeze on Shepway's Schools
Schools across Folkestone and Hythe are facing slashed funding over the next few years.
The Conservatives' new funding formula for schools will take money from many of our local schools. Over the next few years, that means a loss to our local schools:
- Folkestone Academy: -£1,435,809
- Folkestone School for Girls: -£701,328
- Brockhill Park PA College: -£562,403
- The Harvey Grammar: -£405,206
- The Marsh Academy: -£320,948

All our schools need more funding, not less. The Liberal Democrat policy is to boost education spending by £7 Billion and make sure EVERY school gets a fair deal.
Folkestone and Hythe Campaigner Lynne Beaumont is angry at the cuts to our schools. She says:
"Our secondary age schools will be almost £3.5 million down - equivalent to losing 95 teachers in Folkestone and Hythe alone.
"Our Primary schools are also seeing savage cuts.
"We need to Stop the Squeeze on our school budgets. We need to stand UP for our schools.
"The Liberal Democrats have a plan to invest in our schools, which is one of the most important investments any country can make in its future."
