Student Block and Housing for Former White Lion site?

24 Aug 2007

The ex-White Lion Pub on Cheriton High Street, Folkestone has had a planning application submitted to Shepway Council to turn the main building into a 16 flat student accommodation building, with 4 new terrace houses to the rear in Chilham Road.

The pub was sold by previous owners Shepherd Neame to Commercial Concerns Ltd, who are submitting the planning application. In a letter with the application, the developer outlines that for the student accommodation, they are currently in negotiation with 2 language schools and a brick-work and construction college for the proposed student block.

The application number [Y07/0937/SH] can be viewed on-line at http://tinyurl.com/35dy6q
