Summer 2009: Shepway Play Mobile Activity Programme announced

Shepway Council have announced their listing of the FREE Family Play Days taking place at various outdoor locations across Shepway over the Summer Holidays for all ages.

Activities include painting, sticking, bead threading, ball games, music, stilts, unicycle, puppets, board games, face painting, plate spinning, toys & much much more...

The Play Days are FREE OF CHARGE, funded by the Big Lottery and staffed by three play workers who facilitate games/play for all ages. The dates announced are:

August 2009 (all times 11am - 3pm unless otherwise stated)

  • Monday 3: Burmarsh Rec, Burmarsh
  • Tuesday 4: Peregrine Close, West Hythe
  • Wednesday 5: NATIONAL PLAY DAY RADNOR PARK, Folkestone
  • Thursday 6: The Minnis, Stelling Minnis
  • Friday 7: The Rype, Lydd
  • Monday 10: Community Green, Hawkinge
  • Tuesday 11: Sellindge School, Sellindge
  • Wednesday 12: St Mary's/Warren Way, Folkestone
  • Thursday 13: Queensway, Lydd
  • Friday 14: Hythe Children's Centre, Hythe
  • Monday 17: Coastal Park (East), Folkestone
  • Tuesday 18: Dymchurch Rec, Dymchurch
  • Wednesday 19: Jocks Pitch, East Cliff Folkestone
  • Thursday 20: Fairfield Rec, New Romney
  • Friday 21: Tayne Field, Lyminge
  • Monday 24: The Leas (West End), Folkestone
  • Tuesday 25: Newchurch Park, Newchurch
  • Wednesday 26: Lympne Rec, Lympne
  • Friday 28: Meriden Walk, Etchinghill
