Social Enterprise Kent have compiled a list of food and support services and activities that are taking place over the Christmas and New Year period. The Christmas Dinner, Folkestone | With the help of the Gold from the Stone Foundation, we put a Christmas Day event on and invite all Care Leavers aged 16-25 from anywhere in Kent who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day We provide transport to the venue, gifts, a hamper of goodies, a full traditional dinner and some wonderful Christmas cheer. Guests can be referred by local agencies or can contact us directly. Romney Marsh Community Hub | Our Warm Hub is running again this year. Green Doctor - Groundwork South | Over the Christmas period we will have advisors available on the phone (excluding Bank Holidays) that will help with fuel vouchers for gas and electric (pre-payment meter only clients) and applications for fuel support (credit meter clients). SUN (Service User Network) | SUN (Service User Network) is a community network of peer-support groups across Kent and Medway, that provide weekly emotional, social and practical support. These are run by a lived experience facilitator and a clinician, online or face-to-face. SUN is available for: *People who are experiencing difficulties with complex emotions often associated with Personality Disorder, but you don’t need a diagnosis to attend *People who are seeking emotional support and understanding from peers in a non-judgemental and supportive environment *People who want to be empowered to manage challenging situations and relationships *People who are aged 18+ and registered with a GP in Kent and Medway To be able to attend a group you must self-refer into the service. Once registered you can book to attend as many SUN groups as you like. Mental Health Matters | At The Havens, you can come just for a chat, or you can access one-to-one emotional support from trained mental health professionals.
