Overnight closures of sections of Cheriton High Street and Horn Street, Cheriton, Folkestone, are planned from Saturday 21 November 2020 for up to 2 nights, from 8.00 pm through until approximately 6.00 am each night.

Cheriton High Street and Horn Street will be closed in the general vicinity of the junction where they meet each other opposite Tesco, to the actual extent indicated on site.

The alternative route for through traffic is via B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2063 Risborough Lane (note 14' 6" height restriction), Church Road and Horn Street.

Personnel will be on site to allow escorted access for HGVs and overheight vehicles when it is safe to do so, but there are likely to be delays.

Local access to the remainder of Horn Street continues from a southern (Hythe) direction and access to Cheriton High Street, including Tesco, continues from B2064 Cheriton High Street.

The closures are to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out following junction modifications, being carried out by F M Conway.

The works have been timed to be carried out overnight, to reduce their impact.

Some delays are likely, especially earlier in the evenings, so it is recommended that motorists allow extra time for their journeys or consider using alternative routes during these works.

The timing and duration of these works may be affected by various factors including the current coronavirus situation and weather conditions, and the most up to date information on these works can be found here: https://one.network/?tm=119318628
