Temporary Road Closure – Folkestone Race For Life – 12th September 2021 (Folkestone)

It will be necessary to close various roads in The Leas area of Folkestone to allow the Cancer Research UK Race for Life event.

The following roads will be closed to through traffic between 10:30 and 14:00:

  • Cliff Road
  • Dixwell Road
  • Metropole Road West
  • Metropole Road East
  • The Leas (between the junctions with Metropole Road and Earls Avenue)
  • Clifton Gardens

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via West Terrace, Bouverie Place, Bouverie Square, Middelburg Square, Bouverie Road West, Castle Hill Avenue, Sandgate Road.

As part of this order, a parking suspension will be in place on The Leas (between the junctions with Metropole Road East and Metropole Road West) from 08:00 to 14:00.

This order is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst the Race for Life is underway.
