Temporary Road Closures: Grace Hill, New Street and Bradstone Road, Folkestone (19 - 21 July)

Kent County Council has given notice that from 19 July 2010 for a period not exceeding 5 days, Grace Hill, New Street, and Bradstone Road, Folkestone will be closed to through traffic. Grace Hill will be closed from the roundabout extending through New Street to include Bradstone Road up to the junction with Clarence Road.

These restrictions were introduced to enable urgent carriageway repairs and resurfacing works to be carried out on behalf of Kent Highway Services

This does not apply to residents and businesses requiring pedestrian access to their properties.

The works are planned to commence on Monday 19 July 2010 and should be completed within 3 days. The works will be carried out between the hours of 9.30 am to 3.30 pm with the road re-opened outside these hours.

The alternative route for through traffic is via Shellons Street, Middelburg Square, Cheriton Gardens, A259 Cheriton Road, Castle Hill Avenue, Radnor Park Road, Pavilion Road, Blackbull Road, Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road, Dover Road Southern Way, The Tram Road, Tontine Street and Grace Hill.
