"Thank You" to those who made the Park Perries Mead Christmas Party Possible
Park Ward Folkestone Town Councillors, Bev Rolfe, Maggie Sheldrake and Lynne Beaumont, in conjunction with Broadmead Village Residents Association, held a Community Christmas Party for Park Ward residents in Perries Mead on Friday 7th December with the aid of a Town Council ward grant.
The aim of the event was to bring the community together in the true spirit of the season and to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Very special thanks go to:
- Barbara and Roger Nathan of Village Fayre, without whose kindness, cooperation and loan of their premises, none of this would have been possible. Their special gift of community spirit is very much appreciated.
- Derek of Farthing Common Plant Centre for his wonderful gift of the Christmas tree and his staff, Wayne and Darryl for all their very hard work to erect it.
- Simon Clayton of Regent Electricals, Risborough Lane, Folkestone for his generosity in donating all the Christmas Tree lights.
- Paul Bates of P.B.I Home Improvements & Building Services and Kris Aird of K.A.A. Electrical Contractors for their hard work and kind community spirit in placing the lights and setting up the necessary electrical supply for the tree and other necessary electrical supplies. Thanks lads!
- The Salvation Army Band and junior choir for the Christmas Carols
- Alex McNeice for his kindness and musical entertainment.
- Sainsbury's, Park Farm, for making a donation towards the refreshments.
- Nicki and Edwina Boyt of Broadmead Village Residents Association for their invaluable help in setting up Santa's Grotto.
- Many friends and colleagues for all their help and loan of equipment, not to mention assisting at the party itself!
Thanks must also go to all those people who braved the winter weather to attend the party. We sincerely hope you enjoyed the festivities! Come again next Christmas!
