Amongst Shepway County Councillors, only Folkestone West County Councillor Tim Prater voted to scrap buffets for taxpayers

From the official Kent County Council record: how Shepway's County Councillors voted on the amendment to cancel buffets for Councillors at the taxpayers expense:

  • Tim Prater (Lib Dem) - YES
  • Susan Carey (Conservative) - NO
  • Richard Pascoe (Conservative) - NO
  • Carole Waters (Conservative) - NO
  • Roland Tolputt (Conservative) - NO
  • Chris Capon (Conservative) - Did not vote / Absent

Buffets for Councillors at Full Council meetings have been provided at a cost of around £12 per head per meeting.

County Councillors already receive an allowance that includes an element to cover subsistence costs.
