Andrew Bamford, Historian and Author

"With Wellington's Outposts: The Peninsular and Waterloo letters of John Vandeleur."

John Vandeleur's letters home provide an excellent insight into the Peninsular War, Waterloo and links well with the Light Division and Shorncliffe. An academically-trained historian with a research focus on the military history of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
