Two Days not One: Temporary Road Closure of Caesar's Way, Folkestone from 19 November 2010

18 Nov 2010

Kent Highway Services have advised that for operational reasons, the closure of Caesar's Way, Cheriton, Folkestone will now run into 2 days as opposed to 1 day previously advertised. It is planned that the existing surface will be removed on Friday 19 November 2010 with the new surface laid on Monday 22 November 2010.

The road will be closed from the junction with Biggins Wood Road, to enable carriageway repairs and resurfacing to be carried out. Caesar's Way is a cul-de-sac so therefore there is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access whenever it is safe to do so, and this should be made easier by spreading the works over 2 days.

It is planned that these works will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 am and 7.00 pm, with the road re-opened outside these hours. These works are weather dependent, and the timing may be affected by adverse conditions.

For more information, contact Kent Highway Services on 08458 247 800 (24-hour Contact Centre).
