United Response / Community Network
I was unable to attend the Coffee Morning at The Community Network in Cheriton but my wife, the Mayoress, was able to do so on my behalf. Kate says:
Having attended various Coffee Mornings recently I was expecting about half a dozen people to be at the centre. I was therefore very surprised to find a packed room where all seats had already been taken and there was a queue for coffee of several people. More chairs and tables arrived shortly and I was able to sit and talk with a young woman and her carer. The friendly buzz and lively atmosphere of this social gathering bodes well for the new project.
The basic outline of the ideas for the centre were explained by one of the project managers and I will be very interested to attend the follow up events.
