Welcome Kurt: New Councillor for Sandgate Parish Council

Kurt Stephens was co-opted to Sandgate Parish Council at its Annual Parish Council Meeting last night, filling the vacancy left by Leo Griggs who resigned the Council in April.

Kurt, who is a local resident and also works for local seamstress and tailoring business Acula Creations, has been working with the Council as the Business Forum representative for much of the last year.

Kurt is a member of the Liberal Democrats in Shepway, and has been co-opted as Councillor for Sandgate Valley until the next Parish Council Elections in 2019.

Sandgate Parish Councillors Tim Prater and Gary Fuller were delighted to welcome Kurt to the Council. Tim commented:

"Kurt will be a big asset to the Parish Council, as he has already been proving with his work liaising with local businesses."
