18 Nov 2010

Shepway Council's website says e-petitions can "be created, signed and submitted online via our website www.shepway.gov.uk from 15 November 2010." (http://tinyurl.com/37p7yyh)

Today, Shepway Councillor Tim Prater has written to Shepway Chief Executive Alistair Stewart, asking where there new e-petition functionality is, or for an update on when it would be live.

Tim Prater commented:

"The plan to get e-petitions online by 15 November has been published for months. Shepway should stick to its promises, or at the very least keep residents up to date with any delay."

Update Friday 19th November:

Shepway ICT Support were in touch with Tim Prater on the evening on Thursday 18th, and by 11am on Friday had a working system in place at http://www.shepway.gov.uk/moderngov/mgEPetitionListDisplay.aspx?bcr=1

Tim said:

"Full marks to Shepway ICT support - they've worked really well to get this in place within 24 hours of my picking up the problem."
