Why Is Lynne Walking?
Shepway Liberal Democrat Group Leader Lynne Beaumont will be walking around Folkestone town centre for 5 days from the 2nd to the 6th November 2009. The reason for the walk is to raise funds for the Salvation Army and the Rainbow Centre, both of whom deal with homeless and vulnerable people on the front line.
Lynne will be wearing a "Ask Me Why I am Walking" T shirt to encourage people to talk to her, and in this way, raise awareness of the problems homeless people face, and that this problem exists in their hometown of Folkestone, and across Shepway.
To sponsor the walk please print a sponsor form and complete (links are at the foot of this story), and if there are any of your friends who would be interested, please make them aware of this fundraising and awareness event for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. If you work in an office, school, hospital, or church, please consider printing the sponsor form and take it with you.
If you would like to hear more, or would like posters call Lynne on 07885 940945.
