WOW - What's on Where

FMTMN

Dan File of Sandgate School, did an incredible job of setting up this event, where dozens of organisations displayed their particular clubs and activities. The Leas Cliff Hall came alive when the children of Sandgate School arrived to enjoy the practical activities on offer.

Sadly, other schools had decided that they were not able to attend and the wonderful concept did not draw the crowds that were anticipated. This did not lessen the impact that the event made on me and I was touched to be asked to open the day.

What was made clear to me was that Folkestone is full of places to go and things to do if only we knew what they were and where they take place. This idea may need a different venue and a reconsideration of timing but the event itself and the organisations attending were a credit to the town.
