You Decide Day - back by popular demand

21 May 2010

Lib Dem Tim Prater ran the first "You decide day" in Folkestone last year. The event gives power direct to local residents who decide on which projects they want to see backed with £15,000 of grants.

All residents from Cheriton, Morehall and Sandgate - are invited to come to the "You Decide" day on Saturday 11th September at the Tower Theatre on North Road, Sandgate to choose the winners of the grants.

Any local voluntary or community group can apply - as long as the project will benefit the Folkestone West area.

Tim Prater said:

"Last year's event was so successful we've decided to run it every year.

"Please come and listen to the projects and decide which you want to vote for. The ones that get the most votes, get their grants - it's as simple as that!"
