You Decide! Grant funding day for Folkestone West this Saturday
A new scheme to allow local residents decide which projects they want to see backed with County grants will be launched in Folkestone this Saturday by Lib Dem Tim Prater. County Councillor Tim Prater is the first in Folkestone to give power direct to local residents to decide on which projects they want to see backed with £15,000 of grant funding.
The "You Decide" initiative invites local people to vote for the projects they think will most benefit the area. All residents from Folkestone West division - covering Cheriton, Morehall and Sandgate - are invited to come along to the "You Decide" day on Saturday 7th November at the Tower Theatre on North Road, Sandgate from 1-4pm to choose the winners of the grants on offer.
Tim Prater said:
"Hopefully lots of people will come along and decide which applications they want to see backed. there are some great bids, but with £15,000 on offer in total and £15,698 being applied for in total, its important people decide what they want to see supported! All local residents are welcome to come along, listen to the applicants tell you about their project and vote - I hope to see you there!"
