Sandgate Parish Parking Poll - Details Confirmed
Following the request for a Parish Poll, it's been confirmed that Sandgate will be holding a Parish Poll on Shepway Council's parking strategy proposals on Thursday 8th December.

In May 2023 Tim was re-elected to all the above seats for four more years. At the District Council AGM on 24th May 2023, he became Deputy Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance and Governance.
Previously, Tim has served on Folkestone Town Councillor for Cheriton from 2006-2011, and Shepway District Councillor for Cheriton from 2007-2011, Kent County Councillor for Folkestone West from 2009-2013. He has sat on Sandgate Parish Council for Sandgate Village since 2011.

While some Council's seem to still want to stop public reporting of what happens in Council meetings through Facebook, Twitter and other routes, it's worth looking at the advice sent by Bob Neill MP, the Under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, to Councils in February this year.
Shepway District Council have launched this years Shepway Community Chest application form and guidance, as well as an advice sheet relating to other sources of funding and funding advice.
The Olympic Torch Path for 2012 has been unveiled - and the torch will be passing through Hythe, Sandgate and Folkestone on 18 July 2012.
