NO2ID Back Clegg on the Snoopers Charter

NO2ID have welcomed the news that Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has vetoed the snooper's charter resulting in it being dropped from the Queen's speech. The coalition government promised to "end the storage of internet and email records without good reason" and the Communications Data Bill was opposed from many members of parliament from all political parties.

When your values are under attack, you have to hold on to them even more firmly than before

This was a week that put things in perspective. I know I speak for all Liberal Democrats when I say that our thoughts are with the family and friends of Drummer Lee Rigby - the British soldier attacked and killed in Woolwich on Wednesday. And I've made it clear, on the party's behalf, that we are immensely grateful to our police, security services and armed forces, who do an extraordinarily important job.

Kent Police update April 2013 - Sandgate, Cheriton, and surrounding areas.

Good News Stories: PCSO Mark Ball attended the One Stop in Cheriton Road in relation to a report of Robbery. From viewing the stores CCTV Officer Ball was able to ascertain the direction of travel before and after the event. From checking other local stores CCTV footage it was determined that the original target had been The Coop. Footage shows the male suspect attempting to enter the store just before they were scheduled to open and upon being unable to gain access proceeded to the One Stop. This investigation is currently on going.
