An exhibition about Folkestone's local hero Samuel Plimsoll to be held in the foyer of Folkestone Town Hall (Rendezvous Street), open on weekdays from Thursday 19th September to Friday 25th October. The exhibition will also be open on Saturday 12th October.
PCSO's Laura Zazo and Mark Ball attended Stockholm Court in Cheriton and spoke with residents regarding their concerns. A talk/discussion was presented outlining Officer duties and their current police powers.
Shepway Conservative Councillor and Cabinet Member Rory Love has long had aspirations to "go further" in politics. He's previously stood for the Conservatives as a Parliamentary Candidate in Lewes in 2005 (he got hammered by sitting Lib Dem MP Norman Baker), and stood to be on the Conservative Euro list list for South East England in 2004 (although he didn't make it to the election itself).

Kent County Council Trading Standards has been advised of an email being sent to consumers purporting to be from Tesco Rewards Department, stating they have been randomly chosen to receive a £500 Tesco voucher reward, and apparently using the sender email address online@tesco.co.uk.
Sandgate has produced its Village Design Statement, and on Wednesday 19th June, Shepway District Council Cabinet resolved to adopt it as the district's first Design Statement as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
Damage has been caused to a flat in Enbrook Road, Sandgate. It appears that someone may have entered the flat, triggered the alarm and left. This occurred between 1440 and 14.55 on 13 July. A young white male was seen acting suspiciously by a neighbour who challenged him. He left heading towards Military Road. He was wearing and Adidas T-shirt and a grey hoodie.
On Tuesday 4th June 2013 local officers Mark Ball and Laura Zazo attended Cheriton Food & Wine in relation to a report of Theft from the store. From being a basic description of the group officers were able to quickly identify the suspects, who were stopped in Somerset Road and subsequently arrested.
