Residents from across Folkestone and Shepway are being invited to the launch of the inaugural Folkestone Triennial. Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to a major road traffic collision involving around 30 vehicles on the A20 near Folkestone. Crews from Folkestone, Dover and Ashford were called to the coastbound carriageway near the Roundhill Tunnels at 1.18pm on Tuesday 3rd June, and are currently using hydraulic rescue equipment to free a man and a woman.

The Environment Agency has developed a draft strategy for managing the risk of flooding and erosion along the coast between Folkestone and Cliff End. Through a process of technical, economic and environmental assessment the draft strategy has identified proposed options for each section of the coast within the strategy area.
