In May 2023 Tim was re-elected to all the above seats for four more years. At the District Council AGM on 24th May 2023, he became Deputy Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance and Governance.
Previously, Tim has served on Folkestone Town Councillor for Cheriton from 2006-2011, and Shepway District Councillor for Cheriton from 2007-2011, Kent County Councillor for Folkestone West from 2009-2013. He has sat on Sandgate Parish Council for Sandgate Village since 2011.

The Liberal Democrats have moved to a new HQ building in London after nearly 30 years (as the SDP and then Liberal Democrats) based at 4 Cowley Street, London. The 4 Cowley Street building was first taken by the SDP in 1982, and is a Grade II listed building originally constructed in 1905 as the London headquarters of the North Eastern Railway Company.
A van with scrap metal on board was stopped and vehicle seized in Folkestone as the driver had no insurance for driving for business, as Police officers in south Kent are continuing the campaign against metal theft in the area.
The draft Shepway Housing Strategy 2011-2016 is now available for final consultation on the Shepway Council website.
The Royal Military Canal, Hythe and Lower Leas Coastal Park, Folkestone have again been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award for being great open spaces.
