In May 2023 Tim was re-elected to all the above seats for four more years. At the District Council AGM on 24th May 2023, he became Deputy Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance and Governance.
Previously, Tim has served on Folkestone Town Councillor for Cheriton from 2006-2011, and Shepway District Councillor for Cheriton from 2007-2011, Kent County Councillor for Folkestone West from 2009-2013. He has sat on Sandgate Parish Council for Sandgate Village since 2011.

As widely leaked overnight (what is the point in big statements if all of the headlines come out in advance?) the Chancellor announced in his Autumn Statement 2013 that car tax discs will be abolished from October 2014.

A Kent resident has received a call from a man claiming to be calling on behalf of Kent Social Services. The person said his name was William and asked the resident if they would be prepared to take part in a survey. He then asked if they are the homeowner and for details about their household income.
