I'm really keen that the Shepway Lib Dems have a regular schedule of events - social, fundraising and political - throughout the year. It's great to meet up with members, and while I'm sure not every event will appeal to every member, we'd like to see a good mix of different opportunities.

Manston Airport Public Support Meeting - Extra Seats Added!
Due to public demand, extra seats have been made available for this meeting. An excellent line up of speakers will detail the business opportunities at Manston as an Aviation hub. The meeting will be chaired by David Foley, CEO of Thanet Chamber of Commerce.

Kent Police officers have uncovered a cannabis factory in Folkestone.
Officers from Shepway Community Policing Team carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs act at an industrial unit in the Shorncliffe area of Folkestone during the afternoon of Wednesday 18 January.

Kent County Council Concrete Bus Stop Pole Replacement Project
A programme of works will take place in early 2017 to replace Kent's remaining concrete bus stop poles with modern alternatives. The project, which has the support of Kent's eight Quality Bus Partnerships (QBPs), will result in a number of safety, aesthetic and practical benefits and will allow for more efficient ongoing maintenance.
