Folkestone West County Councillor Tim Prater has personally funded the licence costs of a new postal service in Sandgate High Street from the increase in County Councillor Allowances he voted against last year.
At last night's Sandgate Parish Council meeting the council voted to introduce a new system to allocate grants to individuals or organisations. Previously the Council had no such system in place.

The Liberal Democrats have set out their proposal for the most radical change in taxation for generations. The fairer tax policy will be at the heart of the party's manifesto for the General Election. Under the Liberal Democrats the income tax threshold would be raised to £10,000, meaning most taxpayers would see their income tax bills cut by £700.
