Shepway residents who would normally have their landfill waste collected on Thursday (Christmas Day) will have it collected on Monday 29 December. Collections due on Friday (Boxing Day) will be made on Tuesday 30 December.

Kent County Council deposited £3m in an Icelandic bank a day after being warned against it, a report by Price Waterhouse Cooper has revealed. An e-mail was sent by a financial advisor at 3pm on 30 September to an officer at the council, who did not read and act on the information.

All members of the Liberal Democrats on Shepway District Council will not attend the Chairman's Christmas Function scheduled for the evening of 17th December.
