Lydd airshow has been cancelled this summer because it failed to attract a sponsor. The airshow had its debut in 2006 and was attended by 40,000 people.

Shepway To Be Hit By Tory Garden Tax

Shepway Council confirmed last night that an annual £35 fee would be charged for the green garden waste recycling bins, on top of the Council tax levied by Shepway. Taken with the expected tax increase which Shepway will set in February, a household choosing to keep their brown-top bin in recycling will see their Shepway Council tax move from £203 this year to a combined Council & Garden Tax of £247 next year - a record 21.7% increase.

Charlton FC Football Sessions at Cheriton Rec

As a part of the Charlton Athletic Community Scheme, there are football training sessions for local young people led by two Charlton FC and local coaches every week at Cheriton Recreation Ground, between Weymouth Road and Stanley Road.
