Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron MP has today attacked David Cameron for pure rhetoric over his claim the Conservatives are the Workers' Party. He said the words would ring hollow to millions of people.

In defence of capitalism

Last week, I wrote about a possible justification for limited nationalisation of the most important parts of our infrastructure. To redress the balance, I want to consider whether there is any reason to retain capitalism as a form of creating everything else we need to survive and thrive as a community.

What price austerity now?

I hate to make a party political point (he lied) but recent news articles tell us that not only has GDP been above pre-crisis levels since 2013, but GDP per capita has also just returned to those levels too, which is more important. The point is that the austerity-hating Scottish National Party managed to oust Danny Alexander, in May, even though he had been one of the leading architects of the strategy which put the entire country back on track.
