Kent Trading Standards are warning about two people posing as Age Concern workers in the Folkestone area, but then robbing their victim.

PCSO Mark Ball attended the One Stop in Cheriton Road in relation to a report of Robbery. From viewing the stores CCTV Officer Ball was able to ascertain the direction of travel before and after the event. From checking other local stores CCTV footage it was determined that the original target had been The Coop. Footage shows the male suspect attempting to enter the store just before they were scheduled to open and upon being unable to gain access proceeded to the One Stop. This investigation is currently on going.
Local Lib Dem campaigner Tim Prater has raised serious safety concerns about planned highways changes to the junction between Coolinge Lane and Sandgate Hill.
Shepway Lib Dems have thanked everyone who supported them in the County Council elections in Shepway. The shock results saw UKIP gaining 4 seats in the area, the Green Party winning one, and the Conservatives narrowly hanging onto their last seat in Elham Valley.
One County Councillor in Shepway has claimed over £10,000 in expenses in just three years. In contrast, Lib Dem Folkestone West Councillor Tim Prater has claimed NO expenses in four years. Folkestone campaigner Gary Fuller says:

He has developed an on-line questionnaire, which can be completed in reference to either town and is aimed at those who live and/or work in either Margate or Folkestone.
