Adoption of the revised Statement of Community Involvement 2011

Kent County Council's revised Statement of Community Involvement was formally adopted on 14 January 2011. The Statement of Community Involvement forms part of the Minerals and Waste Development Framework and sets out how the community will be engaged in the preparation of the Minerals and Waste Development Framework, and also how the community will be consulted on planning applications that are determined by Kent County Council.

Academy FM: Folkestone’s own radio station gets ready to launch

105.9 Academy FM, Folkestone's new community radio station, has announced that it will go on air at 12 noon on Thursday 31 March 2011. Broadcasting from the Folkestone Academy, the station will serve the communities of Folkestone, offering a comprehensive variety of programmes 24 hours a day, and will be commercial free.
